Hello everyone.
I will be leaving Japan soon and I need to close my bank account. However, some payments and reimbursements will go into my Yuucho bank account by April 17. I need to surrender my residence card on Sunday, when I leave. I was instructed by my scholarship to do this, but its expiration is on June.
My question is, can I close my bank account without presenting a residence card? I will be in Kyoto for a conference in May. My bank account was created in Tokyo.
