Is it normal dating standards in Japan to plan a date almost a month away and not hear from them till the day before the date?
I’m a forigner and I had an experience like that a while ago and I just thought they weren’t serious and I honestly forget about them but than they actually still wanted to go. Was I wrong for thinking it was cancled?

For all the people asking why I (26F) didn’t just message or saying “y0u FoRg0t AnYwAy” yes after two weeks of working and talking to other guys who did seem interested in me I forget about him.
I also mentioned in some comments I come from a culture where I’m used to men making the first move. When I notice that a man doesn’t follow up after we plan a date or is “too busy” to message a woman he is interested in pursuing he is not interested in her nor ready to date seriously. So me accepting this date was my way of trying to break out of my norm but at the same time it seemed like he wasn’t that interested in me to begin with.
