I’m a WFH freelancer and I have 2 options when it comes to my stay. The idea came to me when I realized that tickets are more expensive than the money I would be spending on everything else combined. So here are my options:
1) take 2 weeks off of work and visit the places I wanna see as fast as I can. (Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka) – this was my initial plan and I have a 14 day itinerary pre-planned.
2) Stay 30-40 days and just work from there. I work Monday-Friday from 4PM-2AM JST. I could still take several days off during my stay. As long as I find a quite place to work from I can work from anywhere. I have calls and zoom meetings.
I could travel and sightsee during the day and then go back to work. But as I have never been to Japan before, I’m not sure how far this is possible.
So any tips to make it work? Would you advise for or against option 2?
