Japan Post Bank 440 Yen Transaction Fee

Hello, when coming to Japan a few years ago I opened a bank account with Japan Post Bank and have since been paying my rent to my landlord via bank transfer. Every time I send the rent I am charged 440 yen. So basically I’m spending 5280 yen a year on bank transaction fees.

What would you recommend I do to reduce or ideally completely stop paying those fees? Would I have to change to the same bank that my landlord is using? Or do all banks ask for transaction fees? Or what about asking him to pay the rent in cash? Or is that not common here in Japan?
Thanks for any advice!
