Hi! I am looking for feedback on my 11 day itinerary for mid-April. I realize some days may have a lot packed in so I would like input on if anything seems way too ambitious (it’s just two of us in our early thirties, no kids and we are well traveled). Any other food or drink recommendations in these areas would be great too. TIA!
**DAY 1 – Travel Day**
Land in Tokyo
In airport: customs, exchange $, buy metro cards, activate JR pass and book train tickets
Check-in at hotel in Shinjuku
Bar hopping in Golden Gai if we’re feeling up to it/need to fight jet lag
**DAY 2 – Shinjinku/day to get acclimated**
Meiji Shrine & Shinjuku Gyoen Gardens
Dinner & bar hopping in Harmonica Alley
**DAY 3 – Chuo City & Ginza**
TeamLab first thing in the morning
Tsukiji Fish Market for late breakfast/early lunch
Shopping in Ginza \[UNIQLO!\]
Metro to Shinjuku Station and regroup at hotel
Dinner \[BOOKED\] & whiskey bars in Shinjuku
**DAY 4 – Shimokitazawa & Shibuya**
Shirohige’s Puffs in the morning
Thrifting & lunch in Shimokitazawa
Mikkeller Brewery if we have time to kill before Shibuya Sky
Shibuya Crossing & sunset at Shibuya Sky
Sunset at Shibuya Sky \[BOOKED – 5:40-6:00pm entry\]

**DAY 5 – Travel & Rest Day**
Bullet Train from Tokyo Kyoto

Dinner & tea ceremony at Ryokan, rest for the night!
**DAY 6 – Kyoto**
Fushimi Inari Shrine
Shopping & lunch on Sannenzaka and/or Ninenzaka paths
Kiyomizu & Honen-in Temples if time
Dinner at Sodoh \[BOOKED\]
Kodai-ji Temple Spring Illumination at night
**DAY 7 – Arashiyama**
Bus to Arashiyama
Okochi Sanso Garden
Gioji, Adashino, Otagi & Daikakuji Temples
Regroup at hotel and venture out for diner \[nothing booked, is this okay?\]
Nightlife on Kiyamachi-dori Street if we feel up to it \[Bar Rocking Chair?\]
**DAY 8 – Rest of Kyoto & Travel to Hakone**

Any last Kyoto things before bullet train to Odawara
Pick up rental car in Odawara \[BOOKED\]

Dinner nearby & relax at hotel onsen
**DAY 9 – Golf & Explore Mt. Fuji Area**
Golf & lunch at Minamifuji Country Club \[BOOKED for early morning tee time\]

**DAY 10 – Hakone**
Hakone-jinja Shrine
Onshi Hakone Park

Drop off rental car & bullet train to Tokyo in late afternoon/early evening

**DAY 11 – Last day & travel home**
