Could you please give some further advice on this itinerary? 1) Does this look reasonable and any further recommendations for must-see locations? 2) I am unsure whether to spend the 22nd at Universal Studios or to explore more of Osaka. What thoughts do you have on this? I want to explore some of the cities on the route to Fukuoka and return to Tokyo after this. I can leave Tokyo on the evening of the 19th (Friday) and must be back on the 28th Sunday night after finishing in Fukuoka (can be late at night).
I have 3 days to explore before getting to Fukuoka and 1 and a half days to explore on the way back to Tokyo. Here is my current plan:
Route to Fukuoka: Osaka and Nara
* 20th – Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, Amerikamura, Umeda Sky Building
* 21st – Day trip to Nara: Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Naramachi
* 22nd – Universal studios day trip
Route to Tokyo: Hiroshima
* 27th – Peace Memorial Park and Museum, Hiroshima Castle, Downtown Hiroshima (Hondori Street)
* 28th – Miyajima Island then train to Tokyo
Could you please give some further advice on this itinerary, does it look reasonable, any other must-sees you would recommend?
I am still uncertain about spending the 22nd at Universal Studios or exploring more of Osaka. Any advice on this would be appreciated too (e.g. some more unique districts to explore in Osaka). Thank you!
