I used to take zoloft back in my home country when my mental health became worse.
Now I’m experiencing this phase again in Japan.
Does the health insurance cover psychiatrist?
If yes, can I go to one and ask for Zoloft? What is it called in Japan?
And how much do I need to pay approximately?
Thank you in advance.

Assuming jzoloft is the same medication google seems to say it’s available in Japan. Here’s a guide good luck.

セルトラリン, if you want the generic (sertraline). Do you have an old prescription, any paperwork or a pill bottle that could prove you were prescribed it? I just took someone who was here on a visit to a hospital to get meds as they’d extended their stay. They’d lived here previously and had a chart at the local general hospital, so we went there. She was sent to the psychiatrist, who saw her paperwork, asked her why she wanted it, and she got it. She had no insurance, having left the country, and the pills were 9,000 yen (50 days worth). If you have insurance it will be a fraction of that. You need not have paperwork, it would just speed things up slightly.
just go to any general practice clinic and ask for it. explain that you used to take and feel like that again. they will give it to you. if not there are probably dozens of other clinics in your area and you can go to another if they don’t give it to you. medication is cheap here too
