TESOL

I graduated with a Bachelor of International studies majoring in Japanese. I was informed that I was rejected by JET back in December. I have received feedback for my SOP. I have tried applying for TESOL on cousera for funding, but it only lasted until the 1st capstone before I lost access. My university has a graduate certifiate but it costs $1000, and I’m not sure if it’s worse getting into more student debt. Is it worth getting TESOL until I wait to reapply this year? I have experience volunteering as a teacher assistant during my second year and being a tour guide if it helps with explaining anything.
