Instead of the forecasted early sakura season, Kyoto got 10 days of cold and rain. It’s starting now, but most places seem to be at about 10-20%

2. The few trees I’ve seen bloomed had dozens of people waiting for their chance for a photo.

4. We just left Kyoto a few days ago….like someone else said, we were all waiting for our chance to take photos around the poor trees that had a few flowers open 😀

   Hoping for better luck next time!

6. I hope this means most of the tourists will be gone by the time they’re in full bloom. (Wishful thinking, I know.)

8. Seems the same has happened in Tokyo, Nagoya & Osaka

9. Was just in Kyoto for this and we had to go since our flights were pre booked. Had a couple of early trees opened but was disappointed. Will try again next year I think

10. Was in Kyoto today. Didn’t see any cherry blossom near Fushima Inari 🙂
