Are New Balance that much cheaper?

Bit of a specific question, but I have weirdly seen multiple ‘travel influencer’ posts about how much cheaper trainers/sneakers are when shopping in Tokyo.

I have a few pairs of New Balance that are on their way out, but wondering if anyone has seen if they are THAT much cheaper to justify also wearing them in whilst I’m out there, or if I should just buy them at home. (I also want to look into buying a Japan made brand also but they would be something I wouldn’t wear until I got home anyway) I am in the U.K. for context.

Thanks in advance 🙂
