Now that the yen is hovering around 152¥ to the dollar, I was thinking about placing a large order for future trips (Somewhere along the line of $15k) Now I know this is a risky move, but looking at the history performance of the past ten years, this looks like the lowest it has ever been. Now honestly I would love it if the yen suck to the 160-170 range, but I honestly don’t see that happening without some sort of injunction by the BOJ.
Now I should say that I use my Wise card for vacation funds so I can always change currently whenever I want. And Wise fees are low to convert (Roughly $10 per $1k converted so it wouldn’t be too much of a risk if the yen starts to sink.
What’s everyone’s thoughts ?
