My partner and I are staying with an Airbnb host family who are not just renting out part of their space, but are also showing us around the local areas, prepping breakfasts for us, and just being incredibly welcoming and friendly. I wanted to write them a card and/or verbally thank them for their kindness and hospitality, but wasn’t sure what would be appropriate.
I know some basic “thank you”s and phrases like those suggested for [thanking homestay families](https://www.reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese/comments/t8f0b/i_want_to_properly_thank_my_host_family_help/), but wasn’t sure if the verbiage should be different because it’s an Airbnb stay rather than a traditional “host family” situation?
Would something written in a card also differ?
