I was originally intrigued by the low prices and the easy sign-up process (aka no cancellation fees) by excite MEC光. The installation was also free so I was really excited to have found such a good option for internet.
That is, until I actually started using it and it is the worst Internet I have ever. Nothing loads except google, youtube, and it takes forever. Even big sites like Amazon don’t load. I even can’t get my apple TV to connect to the internet. So I really can’t do anything with this wifi.
Has anyone using Excite MEC had this problem? I live in Tokyo btw so I understand some speeds could be slower, but this is totally unusable. Any suggestions? 🙏
Edit: I figured it out! I rebooted my router and changed the setting from PPPoE to DS lite. The problem isn’t with MEC, just my lack of knowledge 😅
