I will be attending Waseda University next spring for a semester exchange. I’m very extroverted; I like socializing and being around people. That said, the international student dorm rules are stringent (no outside people allowed in, etc). I’m now debating whether to live in the Waseda dorms or seek alternative accommodations, like Uninest or other short-term rentals.

I’m aware that most of my friends will be other exchange students, but I’m worried that I won’t be able to hang out with them in their dorms should I choose to stay somewhere else – or vice versa.

Any advice?
