  1. 3A has 2 series: Shin Kanzen Master (2012) and Points & Practice (2022). Both consist of grammar, vocab, reading, listening books.

what are the diffs between the series? should one buy the former or the latter, because, say, P&P has more relevant modern vocab?

  2. book I’m reading is mentioning things like 閻魔様 and 死神 and such. Was wondering if average Japanese have very deep knowledge of these topics or it’s more cursory on average?

  3. Why is the character “言” never used in “どういう意味ですか”?

Also, is there normally a slight pause in speech between X and は in “Xはどういう意味ですか”?

  4. I have a few questions regarding kanji pronunciations

For reference: I don’t know much japanese, and I don’t plan to fully begin learning until I’m proficient with Spanish. But I’ve had a few questions that have been eating at me for the past week.

I’ve been wondering about the pronunciations of kanji, onyomi and kunyomi. I’m thinking about the ones with several onyomi and kunyomi, if learning every pronunciations is necessary, and how people can understand what you mean when there are several pronunciations for some kanji.

  5. Rewatching tokini andi genki lesson 19 vid & got one question about a sentence from his dialogue

    社長はベジタリアンでいらっしゃいませんでしたか。
    You aren’t a vegetarian?

Why is there a で particle used after ベジタリアン?
