My wife and I are both foreigners (non-US) living in Yokohama. We have limited Japanese language skill. My wife is in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Does anyone has recommendation for english-friendly clinic and place to give birth in Yokohama area?
We went to two local clinics that are specialized in giving birth. (e.g. はぐくみ母子クリニック), but unfortunately we they won’t accept us due to the language barrier. One of the clinics referred us to keiyu けいゆう病院 where it is more english-friendly.
It seems to be a general-purpose hosptial instead of specialized hosptial for pregnancy and giving birth, so I don’t know if we’ll get the better service by comparison (e.g. more busy and longer wait time, very mixed google review, painless delivery only available during weekday etc.)
So I wonder if anyone had experience with Keiyu hosptial for giving birth? Anywhere else you’d recommend?

The Bluff Clinic is a very English friendly place in Yokohama. It’s a pretty standard clinic, but I’ve noticed they have a lot of pregnancy related information around the office, so I’m assuming they deal with a lot of people in your situation. It’s not somewhere you could give birth, but I’m sure the doctor would be able to recommend you a good place to fit your needs.
I know that this one has English speaking doctors but counting on the full experience being in English is a bit much. Pros: since it’s a big hospital it’s safer than a small clinic for giving birth.
