Hey all!
I’m going to Tokyo, arriving at Haneda Airport on May 10th, at 10am with checked bags. From there, I’ll go straight to Kyoto.
I know I’m supposed to take the train from the Airport to Shinagawa Station and from there take the Shinkansen to Kyoto. But my main questions are:
Do I have to book the Shinkansen in advance or can i just arrive to the station and get tickets?
If yes, how long does it take to get the tickets?
If I need to book in advance – seeing as how I arrive at the airport at 10, at what time should I book the train? To be safe, I think it should be fine to book the train at 1pm or 1.30pm (three hours seems enough to leave the airport, go to Shinagawa station and find my shinkansen)
