I’m thinking of travelling around the Kyushu region (but based in Fukuoka) from 8-18 May. Will be flying in and out of Fukuoka. Would appreciate any comments on my itinerary, and what other places I can consider going / extend to fill the last 2 days.

1. I’m planning to get the 7-day Kyushu pass to cover the Kyushu cities (should cover 11-17 May)
2. I’m not sure what i can do for the extra 2 days – i don’t mind extended the stay in one of the cities to 2D1N, or if i can explore other cities in the region.
3. If there are any other places of interest that you would recommend, I’d be happy to look at them too! I also do plan to eat some of the local dishes but i have not written them into the list to make it shorter.
