I have a PR and will be leaving Japan for a long period. I am applying for a Re-entry permit for this purpose, but since I am headed to Immigration anyway I am thinking of renewing my Residence Card as well (although I plan to visit Japan right before it expires. next year). Can I just keep my current residence address in my application and just update when we get our new address when we finally return? (We plan to rent out our current residence.)
There is a big chance I will be back to visit before it actually expires next year, should I just do it then? Will that save some hassle?
