I have always used さびしい, but today I was revising my previous textbooks to make sure I still remember everything. I noticed a sentence that said さみしくてなみだをながしました。I don’t know how I didn’t notice it before, but the translation is the same word as さびしい.
Is there a different to both of these words or is it just a preference to what the person uses.
I know I heard this before with another word:あまり. I’ve also noticed this book uses あんまり but it did explain that both are the same but the writer just prefers this way.
So I’m wondering if this is another case of this.
