Hello, as the title says I can’t get a credit card and I don’t understand why.
So first of all, it’s not a big deal but somewhat annoying at this point and I’m looking for guidance to get help or explanations.
To put on a little of context, I’m a foreigner and I’ve been in Japan for five years on a long term working visa as an employee for a foreign company, slightly above average salary, all taxes to date, renting and being an abiding resident.
I’ve applied to Amazon, Rakuten, EPOS, Shinsei, SMBC Trust Bank, JCB and Saison credit cards throughout time with some space in between but I keep getting rejected and these companies won’t explain why so I would like to know who could, maybe a lawyer or an accountant?, at least to understand what is wrong.
As I said it’s not a big deal as I can live without it but from time to time i think it could be an useful payment method to not expose debit card, automate payments, promotions or rewards.
