Itinerary Check and Planning for upcoming trip in October

Hi everyone,

Planning a trip in early October (flights, accommodation not booked yet) (arrival date is fixed but departure date not yet confirmed, we are flying onwards to Seoul, South Korea to continue the next leg of our trip).

It’s my second trip (being over 10 years now) but first time trip for my travel buddy.

**A couple of questions I have in mind:**

* Should I purchase a JR Pass or not?
* Is Hakone worth staying overnight?
* Better to stay in Osaka or Kyoto?
* Does anyone have any experience purchasing ticket events in particular STARDOM pro wrestling?

I’ve left a few days blank for Tokyo as we have plenty of options for sightseeing and exploring.

My friend wants to see the Sumo, but I realize we’re going to miss out. I have heard about the dining experience with Asakusa Sumo Club or the Yokozuna Tonkatsu.

I’m also keen to attend a STARDOM pro wrestling show but will wait until dates are closer for scheduling.

**Here’s a rough itinerary**

Day 1: TOKYO – Arrival Haneda Airport (still deciding if I should book the red eye or early morning flight)

Day 2 TOKYO – Explore Shibuya

Day 3: TOKYO

Day 4: TOKYO

Day 5: TOKYO – Daytrip to Hakone (Open Air Museum) or Izu

Day 6: NAGOYA – Ghibli Park. Cormorant Fishing. (Might add an extra day to fit in Site of Reversible Destiny Yoro Park. Visit A Museum.)

Day 7: OSAKA / KYOTO – Kibune to Mt Kurama Hike

Day 8: OSAKA / KYOTO – Daytrip to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island

Day 9: OSAKA / KYOTO – Super Nintendo World USJ. Explore Dotonbori in the evening.

Day 10: OSAKA / KYOTO – Depart Kansai Airport
