I did 5 years JET. Now getting shafted by the dispatch system and looking for a better future. I’ve got 9 years XP and basic conversational Japanese. I can’t keep making Â¥200k per month.
Considering going back to Canada for my teaching license. 1-year turnaround with all expenses is close to CAD $35,000 (Â¥3,800,000).
What are the realistic odds of landing good jobs with that in Osaka/Tokyo?
What do they pay? Considering how long it would take to pay that investment off.
EDIT: My BA is in history, so my specialty would be social studies. Probably secondary (JHS/HS).

Anyone with any Korean experience? Would the degree have more or less value there?
