  1. I shot some new photos for a few of my sushi recipes this weekend and my favorites were of this tobiko roll! I just love how the tobiko looks, especially in the bright natural light.

If you’re interested in the full recipe it’s posted here: [Tobiko California Roll](https://www.craftycookbook.com/tobiko-california-roll/) and I’m happy to answer any questions if you have them!

What do you think are some of the most beautiful sushi rolls? I’d love more ideas to make and shoot!

  2. Ive seen some cool “dragon” rolls, with the Red Tobiko in the rice like that! Love the look!

  3. Looks fantastic! Do you need to or did you prepare the tobiko? I use masago (because I can’t easily find tobiko here in The Netherlands). Most of the time there is a lot of moisture; and they are indeed way smaller. Looking at your pics it’s so perfect. Not watery at all.

    Ps sorry for my English.

  4. Idk if youre looking for advice, but you can also put the tobiko in a wide shallow container and just dunk/touch the roll to it on each side after your done making and cutting it so that the tobiko doesnt get everywhere. Also gives a more even spread.

    Regardless looks great! Well done

  5. “Glamour shots” doesn’t even do this justice. This is art! Would you mind if I sent one of these to someone to paint? I love tobiko and masago so much and these photos are gorgeous
