Is anyone familiar with Japanese language schools? I’m thinking about applying in one of them , but I need more information (programs, accommodation… etc.)

  1. I would check out the website gogonihon! They help you apply for free and there’s a bunch of information on different schools and locations!

  2. I went to Genki JACS in Fukuoka, and I have nothing but good to say about them.

Very focused on speaking and practical use, with lots of activities outside of school where you get to use the language.

  3. Does quality or budget weigh heavier?
Also, hardcore studies or more the whole experience?

  4. I’m in the same boat and the Yamasa Institute in Okazaki seems worth checking out. Seems affordable and everything I’ve heard about it seems pretty good 🙂 Best of luck to you

  5. Hello! Yes, i went for 9 months in a Japanese language school in Nakameguro called EVERGREEN. I went there before attending another school, a famous one i would say, but i really had a bad experience that`s why i choosed to change to EVERGREEN. In the first one i had a lot of problems because there were a lot of people in the class, no one had time to fix my mistakes, students were from south asian mostly. It was definetly impossibile speaking Japanese, just think abou working and with europeans and americans spoke in english all the time.

Then i switched to this other school and was the right choose for me! Small classes, teachers extremely available to answer to any of my doubts, also the staff helped me in finding part time, resume drafting. I had an incredible good time. ill leave the link here below, if it can help you I will be glad!

  6. Based on my experience i reccomend EVERGREEN language school ESL. Its a school based in Nakameguro. I studied there for 9 months, classes was small and teachers dedicated lot of time to every student. I got to pass the N2 level in 9 months and when i arrived here i already know the basic. About 4 hours per day. Classes were or in the morning or in afternoon based on your level. We started with kanji everyday but non so many making hard to rememeber it. Also there were a lot of social activity. i had a great time really!

Also the staff was very gentle and helped me in a lot of task, especially looking for a job!
