Do Japanese people still call someone by their last name if it’s really long?

This is just a silly curiosity I have because my last name is “*Jansen Van Rensburg*” none of that is my first or middle name. That is my birth last name, it’s actually a really basic last name in South Africa. I’ve seen a lot of Japanese people call someone by their last name, I know this isn’t always the case. But in the cases where Japanese people would refer to someone by their last name, would they really say my whole last name every time? One of my best friends can’t even remember/say my last name. 😂
