Buying my kid a new iPhone and selected trade in for the old phone.
Apple Store sent me the phone with no issues with no ID issues.
The problem arose with the trade in and the unknown 3rd party company they are using.
First they want my full name to be same as my Apple account so got rejected . So have to ring Apple Store to correct my name and this takes 24-36 hours.
This 3rd party company then wants your DOB , employee type and 2 forms of ID. Apple Store told me it is legal requirement so I covered anything that is outside of name,DOB and address on my IDs and uploaded.
They keep rejecting with 1 liners explanation with no detail.
Don’t feel I should give everything to a 3rd party company and the 3rd party emails (via Apple)
give me less confidence.
So question where have you sold your old iPhones ?
