Hello! We are traveling to Tokyo in December for a few days on an Asia trip with my 90-year old grandmother. Fortunately she is in good health and can walk well, but we will probably Uber/cab a lot just in case. We have 3 full days in Tokyo — any thoughts? Goal is not to have too many pre-reserved things; we want to be relaxed and be able to take in Japanese culture, food, and history.

Day 0: Arrive around 5pm, go to hotel and grab something to eat

Day 1: Meet up with our private tour guide for the full day. Given my grandmothers age, we booked a guide to help with logistics in addition to their tour guide knowledge.
* Start at Tsujiki/ Toyosu Market for a tour and breakfast
* Head to the Fukagawa Edo Museum for a tour of Edo-period lifestyle
* Go to Asakusa and walk around, grab food / snacks there. Stop for tea if we’re tired.
* Visit Sensoji
* \[should we do anything else in this slot\]
* Make our way to Shinjuku for a dinner with our guide around Omoide Yokocho

Day 2: Meet up with our private tour guide for a half day.
* Unfortunately, the Tokyo National Museum is closed during our visit! So we are trying to add art/history in other ways. Interest is more in traditional art / Japanese artifacts.
* Visit the Nezu museum
* Take a tour of a traditional house at Kyu Asakura
* Head over to Shibuya to look around, have lunch
* Free time — may go to the Yushukan military museum if we want
* Kaiseki dinner

Day 3: No tour guide
* After breakfast, go to a headspa and relax!
* Lunch in Omotesando
* Free time — maybe check out Harajuku? Do anything we wanted to do but didn’t have time for
* Sushi dinner
