I will travel (solo) in Tohoku in late april / begin of may during golden week.
Since it will be during the golden week i’ve chosen this region in hope it will be less crowded than the Kansai or Kyushu.
I would love to have some feedback and recommandation for this itinerary !
For information i will not rent a car which can make things more difficult (for example going to Ginzan Onsen…)
Day 1, 2 : Tokyo
\- Arrival, live music, shopping
Day 3 : Nikko
Day 4, 5 : Aizu Wakamatsu
\- Goshikinuma Ponds
\- Aizuwakamatsu castle
\- Bandai Mountain
\- Inawashiro lake
\—> Do you think visiting all of this in 2 day is doable ?
\—> Did I forget some good spot to visit ?
Day 6, 7, 8, 9 : Sendai
\- Visit of Sendai city (1 day)
\- Matsushima Island (1 day)
\- Yamadera Temple (1 day)
\- Chunso-ji + Motsu-ji temples (1 day)
\—> Yamadera Temple and Chunso-ji & Motsu-ji temple take 1 day each because of transport, do you have recommandations for things to visit during the same day for these excursion ?
Day 10 & 11 : No idea
\- Do you have any recommandation that would make sense for this itinary ?
Day 12 & 13 : Tokyo
\- Shopping & departure
