While intermediate has crazy ups/downs (in comprehension) I’ve been feeling pretty great.
Completed another manga of my favorite series, and surprised myself when two random songs I was recommended on spotify didn’t have any major gaps of comprehension.
One I actually just happened to know every kanji, vocab, and grammar point- it was an easy song, but man did that feel pretty cool.
I’ve started only asking questions in Japanese, in my Japanese “classes”. I feel like I’ve gotten much better at putting into writing what I want to say. Another fun rule I use is to only use vocabulary ik and avoid looking up words to force me to be a little more creative.
My victory over the past few weeks has been to begin studying for N3.
Been powering through N5 and N4 revision books so far, scoring pretty well on sample tests. I think N3 will be a real challenge for me though, but I have a study plan in place between now and 7th July.
