Just wanted to have a bit of feedback from everyone regarding having one home base (in Osaka) vs multiple hotels in each city (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe). I mention Osaka since it seems to have the vibes I look for, nice food, nightlife.
Is the commuting really a big downside in this case? I don’t have an exact plan yet but there are things I want to see in all these places, I’m staying there around 8 days and then onto Tokyo. Should I be getting a specific transportation pass? Thanks a ton for the help.
