Hi everyone, currently travelling Japan, yesterday I went to the Shinkansen ticket machine in Kyoto station and bought two tickets for my final train journey later this week, from Hiroshima back to Tokyo. I am confused as I only paid 7880 yen per ticket, which to me is much cheaper than I expected or what the internet says I should pay and also half the price of other (shorter) train journeys I have made in Japan, which is really confusing.
The ticket has the name of the train (Nozomi), it’s definitely for Hiroshima to Tokyo and it even has an allocated seat printed on it.
If anyone could help clear my confusion and confirm if I need to buy anything else for those journey it would be much appreciated.
