So I’m switching from a student visa to a work visa and the application is currently in progress. Up until now I’ve worked as a part-time employee at the company I will be switching to full-time to, but since I’m graduating today – I don’t think I’ll be able to receive the new visa in time for when my contract changes.
I know under normal circumstances that you can’t work like at all after you graduate, but I was wondering if there were any special permissions that I could get to continue working part-time at the company until I receive the new visa?
I have tried contacting immigration multiple times now but either they don’t pick up the phone or the line is always busy and I don’t have the time to visit the office. Has anyone had any similar circumstances/ experiences? What did you do?
