Question about taxes on foreign Stocks ETF

Hello everyone,

I’m posting here because I’m a bit puzzled about the jurisdiction on taxes in Japan.

I opened a broker account in Japan using a brokerage (WeBull) that has a licence in Japan but does provide access investment to foreign Stocks and ETF.

My question is. Does investing in foreign ETF on a “japanese” brokerage is subject to a different tax ? Or does the capital gain tax apply the same way for both japanese and foreign stock/ETF ?
