Hello all,
I’ve been offered an apprenticeship of sorts in Japan (nothing permanent, would return to US after 2-3 years most likely). Pay is 3.5m and located in Nishinomiya. I will be provided an apartment for a subsidized rate of 14k yen. Location is in Nishinomiya.
Looking for thoughts on what my financial situation would be like there. I’m pretty broke in the US, so I won’t be arriving with much to my name. I’m in my mid 20’s and I would say I live a pretty simple modest lifestyle, nothing fancy, though obviously I’d love to see the rest of Japan, eat delicious food etc while I’m there.
What do y’all think? Will I be reasonably comfortable or living kind of on the edge?

**Opportunity to move to Japan, thoughts?**

I’d say that’s a decent salary for Japan as an entry level job. I would personally do it.
It’ll be comfortable, the exchange rate will be rough going back but I think it could be alright if you save
I think it’s doable. Have a plan to save money, be frugal and conscientious of your money-spending, but don’t neglect your own enjoyment from time to time. Moving countries can be frightening and difficult.
