Living near Machida in a 4LDK I’ve seen quite a few posts with estimates for two people in apartments. Just wondering if someone can provide estimates and ranges of monthly gas, electric, and water costs for my family of 4 in a house. Thanks in advance!

For my family of four:
Electricity: 10,000 yen a month when the weather is nice (April, October), 20,000 yen pm in summer, 30,000 yen pm in winter.
Water/sewerage: 5,000 yen a month
Gas: 7,000 yen a month
Edit: Further info – we have 4 aircons. The big one in the loungeroom is on 16 hours a day during summer/winter, and the smaller ones in the bedroom are running all night. Washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher used every day. Hot bath used for around 30 minutes a day. Have an additional large freezer in addition to the main fridge/freezer to store bulk-purchased costco goodies.
Kids like to be freezing in summer..
Daughter actually does shower/bath/shower.
Water 7-8k month.
Gas 5k then maybe 10-12k in winter as we have under floor heating.
Electric. Cooler months then under 15k.
This summer, with 5 a/c running at times I’ve elected not to look at it. Mental health among middle aged men isn’t talked about enough. Do I think it’s broken 30k a month? Hell yeah. Do I want to know by how much. Hell no.
3LDK family of 3 for reference.
Water 3k, Gas 4-5k, Elec winter 8k, summer 12k, other times 5k or so.
Our house has good ventilation so we could open windows and have the wind blowing through the house.
if you do ofuro / sit in the bathtub daily and daily laundry and cooking, you could be looking at 1man water and 1man gas. electricity 1-2man.
Not a family of four but live in a 2LDK home. Everything is electric except for the water heat, which only supplies hot water for the shower. Everywhere else is cold water.
* Winter: 15,000 ~ 22,000 electric, 3000 gas.
* Spring: 5800 ~ 6800 electric, 1800 gas
* Summer: 14,000 ~ 15,000 electric, 1800 gas
* Fall: 7000 ~ 8000 electric, 3000 gas
Mind you, I also have a dryer (I do not hang dry my clothes) and a dish washer that I run everyday. My television is on 24/7 and my sole A/C unit runs 20 hours a day at around 26C at night and 28C during the day.
I have a space cooler but stopped using it because it’s loud and a power drain. Might move it outside to the patio once I enclose it.
Water and sewage is billed every two months so it comes out to 4000.
Family of four in 4ldk (49坪house), per month , water is 6k, electric/gas is 16,000yen in summer and 25,000yen in winter.
