Hello! I’m planning to go to Tokyo via shinkansen. I’m a little nervous, and I’m not sure how to do things. I live in a small town, and there’s a local train station near my place. I understand that I have to make a couple transfers. My question is, when I buy my tickets at the station, do I have to purchase separate tickets for each ride (as in between transfers) or are my tickets going to cover the whole trip? I’m really sorry if this is a stupid question. This is my first time travelling outside of my prefecture and my first time taking the shinkansen. I’m getting a little bit confused doing my research right now, I’m sorry.
