male solo japan, suggestions please :)

Hello everyone, I’m a 35yo male from europe living in the US. I’m going to be in Japan solo from april 8th for 14-21 days i think, could stay longer. My plan from what i’ve seen online is to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Fuji, Kamakura, Himeji. Would you suggest me visiting any other place that has a lot to see and is easily reachable and i would enjoy going to alone? What would you say i definitely need in terms of apps, payments, transit cards, etc? Because it’s kinda confusing understanding online if i should get the JR pass, the suica, the other card, etc. I plan on mostly walking around but definitely taking trains to move between cities and see the various parts of them, etc. Also, i see weather forecasts show now two weeks of pretty much only rain, is april such a bad month weather wise or you think it might just be unpredictable long term? Should i instead come in may or june to get better weather?

And last question, i’m a slightly introverted person, meaning i don’t stop people on the street to talk, but i’m very extroverted once a conversation starts, do you think it will be hard for me to make friends or meet people to hang out with? Any strategy you suggest me to meet people or places i should go to to do so?

Thank you again, and sorry for the many questions…i’ve spent weeks researching online, but the more i research the more confusing it gets.
