My family is trying to find one of our relative who hasn’t been in touch (we don’t have any contact details) for a while and we have a video we took back in 2001 with a camcorder and we’re pretty sure it’s a bus station sign (in Nagasaki) but I’m having trouble translating it in google translate since it’s blurry. I’d appreciate it a lot if one of you could translate it for me, it would mean a lot. Thanks in advance!

This is a very wild guess but I know of a part of Nagasaki that is called Tsukimachi. The kanji are 築町 and while the left character on your picture is very blurry it could be a match. Though I’ve got a feeling that it has to be something else. I’m trying to do more research on this 🙂
I’m pretty sure the bus stop is 柴町[*Shiba machi*]. The vertical characters above it are ??谷口[?? *taniguchi*]. I can’t read the top one though, it’s too blurry. If you could post a few seconds of the video instead of a still image it might make it easier to read.
I found it, though it’s actually located on Sado Island, Niigata.

I found it by searching for the other location on the sign, Iwayaguchi 岩谷口.
Are you sure this is in Nagasaki?
I found a place in Sado City 佐渡市 in Niigata Prefecture that has a bus line that runs through a 柴町 Shiba-Machi with a stop at 岩谷口 Iwataniguchi.

Probably not a popular opinion, but please let them live their life. For twenty years, they could have reached out, but did not. Let them be.
