Just wondering if it would be a problem if I did NOT list any planned work on my stay programme form? Would I be rejected? I’ll definitely list planned tourist activities, and I will definitely have the $4000 NZD they require for initial stay without a return ticket purchased. (My bank account will hit $4000 a couple days before I apply.) I honestly have no strong plans to work during my time there. I want to mainly do non-paid volunteer work in exchange for room and board through Worldpackers and Workaway.
Also wondering if it’s a problem that my NZ bank account got very close to $0 in the past three months. (I’m a dual citizen and was living on the money from an overseas bank account during that time.)
Another thing: I’ve been resident in NZ for the past six months, thus fulfilling their requirements to be resident in NZ for at least three months, but I only got a job (fast food) here in the last two months.
Will any of this lead to me being rejected? Any insight is greatly appreciated. I’m pretty anxious about this. I called and emailed the consulate with some of these questions ages ago, and they never got back to me.
