We fly out in the morning, arrive in Tokyo afternoon of April 8th. We’re not trying to pack our days but would appreciate suggestions for things in the areas we’ll already be.
We’ll be staying in Shibuya April 8-14th, Hakone the night of the 14th, Kyoto the 15th-19th, and Osaka the night of the 19th.
**April 9th – Shibuya**
* AirBnB market to meal experience; guide shops and cooks with/for us
* Shibuya scramble, Yoyogi park, Togo shrine, maybe Takeshita Street
* Shibuya sky for sunset
**April 10th – Ginza**
* Tsukiji Market
* Imperial Palace
* Muji
* Dinner at Ginza Kurosu
**April 11th**
* Teamlab Planets (9am start)
* Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
* Shinjuku izakaya tour
**April 12th – Ueno/Asakusa**
* Senso-ji shrine
* Ueno park
**April 13th**
* Shopping, not sure where yet
* Harajuku
**April 14-15th – Hakone**
* Shonan-Shinjuku line from Shibuya to Odawara
* Bus to ryokan on the south end of Lake Ashi
* Chill at the ryokan, maybe hike the Old Tokaido Highway to Heiwa no Torii
* Next morning, bus back to Odawara, Shinkansen to Kyoto
**April 16th – Kyoto**
* Fushimi Inari
* Imperial Palace
* Nishiki Market
**April 17th – Nara**
* Day trip, early morning train to Nara
* Temple, deer park, etc
* Back to Kyoto by mid evening
**April 18th – Kyoto**
* Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
* Monkeys
* Golden Temple
**April 19th – Osaka**
* Train to Osaka
* Explore Dotonbori
**April 20th – Depart Osaka KIX**
* Morning is free
* 5pm flight, afternoon getting to/through the airport
