I got military orders to move to Yokosuka for 3 years and I need help figuring out how to set up our phones. All the posts seem fairly outdated so I’d like some new info. T-Mobile didn’t seem helpful and AT&T doesn’t have a useful setup for it. My main concern is keeping 2FA working with my US number. Past that I’m fine getting a Japanese plan for data and the like. Any recommendations? I have time before we leave but I need to make some moves to ensure success! Thanks!
TLDR: need to keep my US # in Japan for 2FA, how can I do it while having Japanese service?
