What to do near lake kawaguchi when it rains

I am arriving at a hostel by lake kawaguchi and right now forecast for 18/19th seems to be raining.

I planned to the following places, however, it looks to be raining and im not sure if its a good idea to walk that much in the rain from like one of the hostels nearby. I will bring an umbrella so i don’t get soaked. :

* walk to oishi park
* Tenku no torii
* Kawaguchi Asama Shrine

Additionally I planned to go to Arakurayama Sengen Park, but again with the rain/cloud/fog . Seems like most attrtactions will be outdoors. What else could I do during those 2 days?

Alternatively, I was thinking as im staying in nagoya on 19,20, and 21. I could technically arrive in nagoya on the 18th instead?

From lake kawaguchi, i did plan to make a short stop in shizuoka for a photo spot, Fujisan Yumeno Ohashi, but again with teh rain ft won’t be visible.

  1. Few years ago I went to the Kubota Itchiku Art Museum, which is indoors and shows the handmade work of Kubota himself, who used a specific method of hand-dyeing and painting kimono. Absolutely gorgeous works, and it’s in a little forested area that I found to be really lovely. It’s close to the Music Forest Museum and the Museum of Art too.

    If you’re checking the forecast now, you might be far enough for things to change, of course. You might luck out and end up with a nice sunny day.
