Hey everyone- looking to crowd source some help! My family and I are likely moving to Japan in April of ‘23. My wife is Japanese and we lived there previously for several years. Now our situation has changed quite a bit and want/ need to go back to Japan. My daughter will be going into 9th grade. I’m curious if anyone has experience with international schools in Nagoya- good or bad. My daughters Japanese is not strong enough to go into a normal Japanese school. Thanks!

Unfortunately your daughter will probably have a bad time in Japan, just being realistic. Couldn’t imagine being a mixed blood 9th grader trying to fit in, even though she is half Japanese, Japanese kids will not consider her Japanese at all
With international marriages it’s the parents job to make sure the child is incredibly strong in both languages
