Leaving Japan to sell a home in the US. Does Japan have the right to tax?

Let’s say I’m a US/Japan dual citizen living in Japan. I move out of my home in Japan and go back to the US where I sell my family home.

When it comes to inheritance/estate tax, I know that Japan has the right to tax you for 10 years after you leave Japan. How does this work for other taxes like capital gains?
