Cashapp offers no international transaction fee for certain countries and Japan is one that is included. The cashapp card is a Visa card so I was wondering if it would be wise to load my cashapp with a partial part of my budget and just use it. ( I personally don’t see any issues with this but someone else might see differently). I have also withdrawn USD cash which I will exchange for JPY when I arrive in Japan.

If it’s a physical card, should be absolutely fine. It would be like a Wise credit card. Also check if they allow withdrawal at ATM in Japan, if their exchange rate is good, then it might be better than to exchange physical USD to JPY.
