I lost my wallet a few days ago somewhere between Shinjuku area and my local area. I’ve been to the police boxes and train station in Shinjuku but they haven’t found anything.
Is it necessary to check at all the train stations in my local area and ask at police boxes? I would assume they have a system that means they can report if a wallet has been found anywhere in Tokyo?
I also went to the Matsuya, which is the last place I can recall having my wallet on me, and asked the staff but they did not have it. Do you think I could ask them to check their video footage to see if I had my wallet on me. I recall taking it out of my bag to buy my dinner and thought I could’ve misplaced it whilst eating there.
It’s strange to me as I keep my wallet inside a zipped bag that goes over my body, so the chances of it falling out on the train or whilst walking is minimal, meanwhile, I haven’t had any transactions on my cards and doubt anyone has stolen it.
Help! This wallet has all my important cards eg. Residence card, MyNumber, Work/Government ID. Any help is appreciated.
