[Itinerary] Christmas Itinerary v2 + recommended places to stay

I’m posting a version 2 of my old Itinerary edited based on the comments on my previous post, so I would appreciate if you told me what you think about it

My main worries are that I haven’t left myself enough time in tokyo, but I’m also not sure how much stuff is open there after new year

I would also appreciate if you could recommend me which parts of which city I should book my hotel in

* Need to figure out what’s open (Maybe Akihabara if the stores are open)

* Kappabashi st. in the morning (Want to buy a knife as a souvenir and the stores are closed Jan 1-3)

* Travel to airport at around 19-20:00
* Flight home (Departing 23:05 from Narita)

  1. Some others Will detail more. But is this your first trip?

    Kanazawa is nice, but I’d drop a day or drop it all together so you can get more out of your other destinations, especially as it’s on the other side of the island.

    Kyoto is super nice so worthwhile staying there so you can get the most out of it.

    With the Sapporo beer museums if you are with some friends? I’d recommend going there in the evening and booking the genghis khan all you can eat and drink, so much fun.

    Your JR pass looks well timed, remember to activate it the first day you arrive so you can book all your train trips in advance as they sell out quickly and you don’t want to be waiting on the reserve cars.
