i know there’s already a ton of reddit threads comparing the two cities, but i feel like none of them apply to my specific situation. so im planning on studying abroad in japan sometime next year for about a semester (3 months), and im considering osaka and tokyo. im leaning towards tokyo because i want to go somewhere with good nightlife (clubs, bars, etc) that i won’t get sick of, and i feel like tokyo has an endless number of nightlife spots to explore, whereas osaka may only have a couple that i would tire of within a couple of weeks. however, osaka is definitely the more financially responsible choice, and i like its proximity to kyoto and other ideal day-trip towns. ive also heard osaka is known for its food and is better for practicing japanese. im studying business and minoring in japanese, if that influences which choice is better for study abroad.
tldr; as a business major and japanese minor, should i study abroad in tokyo or osaka, and how does tokyo nightlife compare to osaka (will i get tired of osaka nightlife)?
