I am planning a 10N trip to Hokkaido from 31 Oct – 9 Nov 2024 to catch the autumn colors. From what I read, the autumn foliage might be delayed due to the warmer weather.
Are my travel dates too late for autumn or is it better to go in mid to late Oct?

* Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway
**Day 6: Biei to Otaru**
* Otaru Canal
* Glass workshops
* Sakaimachi Street
**Day 7-8: Otaru to Lake Toya**
* Usuzanfunka Memorial Park
* Lake Toya boat tour
* Lake Hill Farm
**Day 9: Lake Toya to Noboribetsu**
* Jigokudani (Hell Valley)
* Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura
* Noboribetsu Onsens
**Day 10: Noboribetsu to Sapporo**
* Return to Sapporo
* Final exploration and shopping in Sapporo
